Player of the Year Awards

At the end of every season, Members of the Society vote on their choice of Society Player of the Year, with presentation of the trophy to the winner usually held at the beginning of the following season.

Player of the Year 2018

The 2018 winner was Simon Harmer, and he was presented with the trophy by Society President Tony Debenham at the lunch interval on the last day of the final home county championship 2019 match against Surrey.

His season figures:

  • Bowling: 57 wickets @ 24.45 with a best of 6 for 87, and 3 x 5 wicket hauls.
  • Batting:  20 innings with 3 not out, 460 runs @ 27.05 with a best of 102 not out, 1 x 100 and 1 x 50.
  • Fielding: 13 catches.
