Who Are We?
We are the Essex Cricket Society - founded in 1974. We currently arrange a Programme of Meetings which run from October through to March. We meet usually on the second Tuesday of each of these months in the Doug Insole Pavilion at the Cloudfm County Ground, Chelmsford between 8:00pm and 10:00pm.
At these meetings we have a cricket-related speaker who is usually either a current player, ex-player, author, administrator or coach.
Drinks are available to purchase at the licensed bar throughout the evening, and also tea, coffee and biscuits are available at the interval for a nominal charge.
Members of the Society also receive the Society newsletter - WILLOW TALK - which is published 3 times a year.
Guests and non-members are welcome to attend any of the meetings upon payment of an entrance fee.
One of the categories we are working on for inclusion on the website is a SOCIETY ARCHIVE of material from the Society's inception to the present day. If you have anything related to the Society that you would be willing to share then please let us know. For contact details - click here.
Membership information and latest Society-related news is posted on this website when it becomes available, but if you wish to get in touch, click here to go to our contacts page.
